Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, wants the club to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe, Le 10 Sport reports.
The Gunners are likely to be priced out of a move, due to their modest transfer budget.
But Emery is eager to bring in a new centre-back this summer and the Premier League side have already been linked with the likes of Sampdoria's Danish defender Joachim Andersen and Saint-Etienne starlet William Saliba.
Emery is a huge fan of his Kimpembe, who he worked with during his time with the Ligue 1 champions and wants a reunion with the World Cup winner.
PSG are looking to offload Kimpembe after a difficult campaign, so they can make room for the expected arrival of Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.
Thomas Tuchel has concerns about the defender's declining performances, especially in the Champions League defeat to Manchester United, as well as his behaviour off the pitch.
